Flame-Thrower HEI Ignition Coil

The Pertronix D3000 Flame-Thrower HEI ignition coil is engineered to replace internal GM coils, offering enhanced performance for HEI type distributors with an in-cap coil design. It provides a 50,000-volt output to deliver a stronger spark. Key specifications include a 75:1 turns ratio, 8.30K ohms of secondary resistance, and an ultra-low 0.05 Ohms primary resistance. When paired with Pertronix Flame-Thrower ignition modules such as the D200O and D2001, it can deliver 100% more energy across the spark plug gap. This ignition coil is legal in all 50 states and Canada, carrying C.A.R.B. E.O. #D-57-21. It is designed as a direct replacement for E-core internal GM coils. While specific vehicle fitment may vary, it is intended for applications requiring an HEI coil-in-cap setup. Modifications may or may not be needed depending on the specific vehicle.
