The HKS Flash Editor is a powerful engine management device designed for select Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86 models equipped with the FA20 engine. This tool enables users to modify and upload custom ECU maps, providing enhanced engine performance and tuning capabilities. To utilize the Flash Editor, a Windows PC running Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 is required, along with a USB cable for connection. The device operates based on the vehicle's stock ECU data; any data previously customized by other reflash tools may not be applicable. It is crucial to ensure sufficient battery voltage during data transmission to prevent communication errors. Avoid disconnecting the connector, turning off the ignition, or operating accessories like the A/C or hazard lights while data is being transferred. This HKS Flash Editor is specifically compatible with Subaru BRZ ZC6 models from Applied A through E (04/2012-09/2017) and Toyota 86 ZN6 models from 04/2012 to 03/2019. When used with the Fuel Upgrade Kit (14007-AT001), specific settings must be performed according to the vehicle's specifications.
