The Superchips Flashcal F5 calibration tool is engineered for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models, providing essential adjustments after vehicle modifications. This device allows for precise speedometer recalibration to accurately reflect changes in tire size, accommodating diameters from 26 to 42 inches. It also offers speedometer recalibration for gear swaps, supporting ratios up to 5.38, and includes options for locking axles. To use the Flashcal F5, a Windows-based computer with internet access and the Superchips Ignition software are required for initial setup and updates. The installation process involves connecting the Flashcal device to the computer via USB, installing drivers, and then connecting the tool to the vehicle's OBDII port. Users follow on-screen prompts to adjust settings, read and clear Diagnostic Test Codes (DTCs), and monitor battery voltage. The tool requires the Jeep's ignition to be in the 'On' position, but not running, during calibration. This calibration tool is particularly beneficial for JK Wrangler owners who have upgraded their tires, gears, or axles, ensuring that the vehicle's systems accurately reflect these changes.
