The Hondata FlashPro is a tuning device specifically designed for the 2023-2025 Honda Civic Type R (FL5). This is presented as the "best first mod" for the FL5 Type R, offering the ability to significantly increase horsepower and torque, with a preloaded base map providing an initial gain of +45 hp and +50 lb-ft. The FlashPro unlocks advanced tuning capabilities, allowing users to adjust air/fuel ratios, ignition timing, and boost control to maximize performance from bolt-on modifications like intakes and exhausts. Key features include real-time tuning and datalogging with over 20 hours of onboard memory storage. It also offers dual calibration storage, enabling users to switch between two different tunes, such as a street tune and a race tune, or different fuel maps. The device comes with FlashProManager Windows software for analysis and adjustment, along with custom laptop gauges for live feedback and the ability to read and clear diagnostic codes. Password protection is included for security. Crucially, the factory ECU must be jailbroken before the FlashPro can be used; this service is sold separately by Hondata and requires sending the ECU to them. Other requirements include a Windows laptop or desktop computer and a USB 2.0 connection. Due to licensing and the nature of tuning devices, all Hondata FlashPro sales are final and non-returnable once received. It is essential to confirm ECU compatibility and jailbreak status before ordering.
