This device connects directly to your car's OBDII diagnostic port and utilizes a USB 2.0 connection to your laptop, where the included FlashProManager software operates. No modifications to the ECU are necessary for installation. This specific FlashPro model is California emissions compliant, holding CARB EO D-742-1, making it legal for use on street vehicles within the USA. It offers features such as 20 hours of on-board datalogging memory, live tuning capabilities, and password security. The software also provides custom laptop gauges for monitoring and allows for dual calibration storage, enabling you to switch between two stored calibrations. For competition vehicles, Hondata recommends a different FlashPro model that permits full tuning.
