Flex Fuel Kit for Gen IV/V GM V8

The DSX Tuning flex fuel kit provides the original plug-and-play solution for integrating flex fuel capability into Gen IV and Gen V GM V8 vehicles. This system empowers your vehicle to operate on a spectrum from pure gasoline to 100% ethanol, revealing the full power potential of your engine, particularly when paired with forced induction setups. Ethanol, in particular, offers significant benefits for high-power applications, and this kit allows for smooth transitions between gasoline and ethanol without manual fuel content monitoring or the need for an ECM reflash. Installation is designed for simplicity, featuring 100% clip-together plumbing that eliminates the need for wrenches. The kit can be optioned with a crimped and pressure-tested PTFE line (8AN with 6AN connections) that replaces the factory over-the-engine line, ensuring 3/8" ID flow without significant restriction. Alternatively, a version is available without the replacement line; in this configuration, the sensor mounts at the firewall and utilizes the factory fuel line, though this may create a slight kink due to the extended connection point. Key components of this kit include a genuine GM Flex Fuel sensor, a plumbing kit constructed from corrosion-resistant materials for straightforward installation, and a plug-and-play wiring harness utilizing OEM connectors and terminals crimped with OEM tooling. A custom 3D-printed fuel line disconnect tool is also included. While it is possible to install the kit without immediate tuning, the ability to switch fuels and gain performance benefits is only realized once the functionality is activated in the ECM via HP Tuners or EFILive.
