This system utilizes a full-length ride height adjustment feature, allowing you to lower your vehicle by adjusting the lower spring seat, independent of the damper stroke and spring preload. This design ensures that ride quality remains consistent, even when the vehicle is significantly lowered. The kit incorporates a twin-tube shock absorber design, which maximizes stroke length for superior comfort and stability across various road conditions, from smooth highways to rougher surfaces. Featuring 16 levels of damping force adjustment, the Flex Z allows for precise tuning of both compression and rebound. This adjustability enables you to customize the suspension's stiffness to match your driving style and preferences, whether for spirited driving or daily commuting. The upper mounts, designed exclusively for each application, are included for straightforward installation. Some front strut applications come with pillow ball upper mounts that offer camber adjustment capabilities. Tein employs robust construction methods for durability and longevity. The springs are cold-formed from SAE9254 steel, boasting high tensile strength and sag resistance. For corrosion protection, the shell cases are treated with TEIN's patented 2-layer, 1-bake powder coating, enhanced further by a ZTP coating to resist chipping from road debris. This ensures exceptional rustproofing and a long service life, even in harsh environments. The kit is compatible with Tein's EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) system for on-the-fly damping adjustments, with specific motor kit part numbers provided for integration. This specific kit, part number VSR84-C1SA4, is designed for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII (2001-2003), Evolution VIII (2003-2005), and Evolution IX (2005-2007) models. The included springs have rates of 10.0 kgf/mm in the front and 8.0 kgf/mm in the rear. Recommended ride height adjustments are -45mm to -30mm in the front and -55mm to -35mm in the rear for the base model, with adjustable ranges offering further customization.
