The Tein Flex Z Coilovers represent a significant advancement in TEIN's high-end coilover offerings, providing premium features at a more accessible price point due to advanced manufacturing systems. Engineered for the Honda CR-Z (2011-2016, chassis codes ZF1 and ZF2), these coilovers are designed to enhance both performance and aesthetics. They feature a twin-tube internal system, which contributes to a comfortable street ride, and a full-length height adjustment system that allows for maximum lowering while maintaining shock travel and ride quality. The Flex Z coilovers provide 16 levels of damping force adjustment, controlling both compression and rebound simultaneously. This adjustability allows drivers to customize the suspension settings, from a softer setup for daily driving to a firmer setting for track or competition use. The spring rates are set at 280 lb for both the front and rear. The kit includes a full set of four coilovers and requires the reuse of OEM upper mounts. Durability and finish are key aspects of the Flex Z line. These coilovers are also EDFC compatible, offering the option for electronic damping force control. The package includes upper mounts for straightforward installation, with some vehicles utilizing OE dust boots.
