The Tein Flex Z coilover kit offers a performance-oriented solution for vehicles seeking improved handling and a lowered stance. It utilizes a twin-tube system, which helps maintain ride quality on varied street conditions by allowing for sufficient stroke and low friction. This design ensures smooth movement over rough surfaces, providing a supple ride at low speeds and stability at high speeds. This kit features a full-length ride height adjustment system, enabling users to lower their vehicle by adjusting the case length without altering damper stroke or spring preload. This method minimizes changes to ride quality, balancing a lowered appearance with comfort. The damping force is adjustable in 16 levels (compression and rebound combined) using a needle valve, allowing for precise tuning to suit driver preferences and driving conditions. The Flex Z is also compatible with TEIN's EDFC series for electronic damping force control from the cockpit, though some models are NOT compatible with the EDFC series. Construction highlights include no-sag springs made from high-tensile steel (SAE9254) for excellent resistance to sagging and stable quality, finished with powder coating for durability and corrosion resistance. The damping oil is specially formulated for stable viscosity across a wide temperature range and superior anti-foaming characteristics, suitable for demanding driving. The kit includes a user-friendly ride height adjusting wrench and features a 'ZT Coating' on shell cases for superior rust protection and lubricity. The front springs have a rate of 6 kgf/mm (336 lbs/in), and the rear springs also have a rate of 6 kgf/mm (336 lbs/in) with a free length of 175mm and an I.D. of 70mm.
