FlexFuel Kit (S58)

The bootmod3 FlexFuel Kit (S58) is engineered to simplify the integration of Flex Fuel hardware into your BMW G87 M2 or G8X M3/M4. This kit is entirely plug and play, utilizing the factory vehicle harness without the need for cutting, splicing, or de-pinning OEM connectors, allowing for installation and removal in approximately five minutes. At its core is a custom 3-piece Aluminum-6061 Flex Fuel Sensor Adapter (FFSA), designed using SolidWorks for optimized fuel flow and minimal pressure drop, crucial for maximizing performance with ethanol blends. All connecting points are sealed with fuel-safe Viton O-rings. The adapter housing also features two 1/8 NPT ports, providing an option to install an auxiliary Fuel Pressure sensor for vehicles that do not come with one from the factory, supporting BM3 CustomROM v2. The kit includes a CANBUS-enabled Ethanol Content Analyzer (ECA) that seamlessly integrates with the bootmod3 CustomROM for real-time fuel blend percentage monitoring. Power and CANBus connections are made via a 4-wire plug-and-play harness, and the Continental Flex Fuel sensor comes with its own 3-wire harness. The kit is intended for use with the OEM fuel pump and associated wiring; variations may not be compatible. Installation choices include an OEM Fuel Hat location or an Engine Bay location configuration. This kit offers significant time and cost savings compared to other methods that require custom fabrication of fuel lines and wiring. The system is fully reversible, leaving no trace of installation. It enables the use of BM3 OTS MultiMaps or Custom Maps that are flex fuel enabled, allowing you to take advantage of varying alcohol/petrol blend percentages in your fuel tank.
