Constructed from high-strength carbon-reinforced materials, this restraint system offers advanced protection. Its innovative design includes a dynamic articulating collar with a load-controlling bump stop, which smooths out initial tether loading and ensures proper collar angle during an impact. This system is SFI 38.1 certified, meeting stringent safety standards. The SHR Flex boasts an angle-independent, low collar design that integrates seamlessly with any seating angle without interfering with the seatback. The articulating collar rises in an impact to create the optimal tether angle, making it ideal for drivers who use multiple vehicles. It also features a floating tether for a full range of head motion left and right, while providing additional side stability. The flexible legs have integrated padding, eliminating the need for separate pads and allowing belts to fit tightly to the body, preventing the FLEX from shifting under the belts. Further enhancing safety are the retention ears on the collar, which help keep safety belts securely in place even during a secondary impact. This system includes FLEX helmet posts that mount directly to the M6 nut in your helmet, ensuring a secure connection. The SHR Flex is available in two simple sizes: Medium (up to 16 1/2" neck) and Large. A large size can be used even if your neck is smaller, providing extra room over the collar bone.
