The Derale Performance 13011 Fluid Control Thermostat Kit is designed to optimize engine oil temperature by allowing the oil to bypass the cooler until it reaches 180°F. This feature is particularly beneficial in cold weather climates, as it facilitates quicker engine warm-up and maintains optimal operating temperatures. Constructed from durable aluminum with a polished finish, this thermostat kit includes 3/8" NPT ports. The kit comes complete with a hardware kit, brass fittings, and hose clamps for installation. The design allows for a rotatable flow direction, offering installation flexibility. The thermostat activates at 180°F and deactivates at 165°F, ensuring precise temperature control. Installation requires attention to keep oil lines away from sharp edges and moving parts, with a recommended minimum hose bend radius of 5 inches. The product comes with a limited one-year manufacturer's warranty.
