The Metra IBR142 is a flush mount USB Type-C charging socket designed for fast charging of modern devices. It supports PD3.0 power delivery standards, ensuring a faster battery charge and preventing devices from draining while in use.

The socket offers two installation options: mounting within a dash or center console port, or surface mounting with the included bracket. It features weather-resistant components, a protective cover, and a pre-wired mini-ATC fuse holder, making it suitable for various applications including marine use.
