It is specifically designed for vehicles with 8-bolt cranks and diaphragm spring pressure plates. Installation compatibility requires careful attention to clutch setup size, which is typically stamped on the clutch pressure plate. Ireland Engineering provides the following general guidelines: 2002 models from 1969-1972 and 2002 Tii models from 1972-1974 use a 228mm flywheel, while 2002 models from 1973-1976, E21 320 models from 1977-1983, and E30 318 models from 1984-1985 use a 215mm flywheel. Always verify the existing size on your vehicle before ordering. Optional hardware, including OEM and ARP flywheel bolts, are available for purchase separately, with ARP bolts noted as a cheaper alternative due to rising OEM bolt costs.
