Overview

The Flyin' Miata Level 2 Performance Clutch is designed for serious power applications in NA and NB Miatas. It features a steelback copper woven organic friction material and is rated for 353 lb-ft of torque at the crank.

This clutch is suitable for turbocharged and supercharged cars with built engines, and is recommended for vehicles with forced induction and upgraded internal components. It is available in a 1.8 size and can be adapted for 1.6 models with a 1.8 flywheel.

The Flyin' FM Level 2 Performance clutch is engineered for high-power applications, suitable for turbo and supercharged cars with built engines, and rated to handle up to 353 lb-ft of torque at the crank. It utilizes a new friction disc design with a thinner disc and a lower profile marcel spring to reduce pedal throw and the need for frequent adjustments. Constructed with a steelback copper woven organic friction material, this clutch aims to be the most friendly performance clutch for Miatas. It includes essential components such as the clutch switch over-ride, pilot bearing, throwout (release) bearing, and a clutch alignment tool. For optimal performance and longevity, it is strongly recommended to replace seals while the clutch is being installed and to use the provided installation tool for the rear crank seal. Note that 5-speed transmissions require the transmission input gasket, while 6-speed transmissions do not. This clutch is designed specifically for the Miata engine and transmission. While fitment with engine swaps is possible, it is not guaranteed; consult the manufacturer of the swap kit for compatibility. The Level 2 clutch has substantial pedal effort and is recommended for vehicles with 300 horsepower or more. It is available in a 1.8 size, but can be fitted to a 1.6 model if a 1.8 flywheel is also used.
