Lokar Floor Mount Shifters are designed for direct floor mounting and utilize a solid linkage to connect to the transmission lever. This design is particularly beneficial when working with an existing floor hole or console, and notably, it does not require the removal of the transmission for installation. This makes it a suitable choice for installations in finished vehicles, typically only needing four mounting holes and a slot in the floor for the Quad Shift Lever. The shifter is compatible with a wide range of automatic transmissions, including the Chrysler 904. Each kit includes necessary mounting hardware, a neutral safety switch, and detailed installation instructions. The FM904ANXLP features a 23" double bend lever and a hi-tech polished knob, but Lokar offers various lever options (straight, single bend, double bend, or bench bend) in lengths from 4" to 32" in black Cerakote or chrome plated finishes, and a wide array of push-button or classic-style shift knobs. Safety is a priority, with a positive lock-out mechanism in Park and Neutral to prevent accidental engagement of Reverse or Park without deliberately pressing the knob's push button. A properly wired and adjusted neutral safety switch further prevents the vehicle from starting in any gear other than Park or Neutral.
