Lokar Floor Mount Shifters mount directly to the vehicle floor and use a solid linkage to connect to the transmission lever. This design is especially helpful when trying to utilize an existing hole in the floor or console and does not require removing the transmission for installation. It typically requires only four holes drilled for mounting and a slot in the floor for the Quad Shift Lever. Lokar Floor Mount Shifters work well in muscle cars and other custom builds.

Each kit includes necessary mounting hardware, a neutral safety switch, and detailed installation instructions. Customers can choose their preferred shifter lever and knob combination for a custom fit and look. These shifters are compatible with a wide range of automatic transmissions, including the Ford AOD, C4, C6, FMX, 4R70W/AODE, and various GM and Chrysler transmissions.

Safety features include a positive lock-out mechanism in Park and Neutral, preventing accidental engagement into Reverse or Park from Neutral or a forward gear without deliberately pressing the push button on the knob. A properly wired and adjusted neutral safety switch prevents the vehicle from starting in any gear other than Park or Neutral.
