FMIC Front Mount Intercooler Kit

The NEUSPEED Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) kit is engineered for enhanced performance on the VW MKVI GTI and Golf R 2.0T models. It boasts a highly efficient aluminum cast end-tanks and bar-and-plate core design, specifically developed to maximize airflow and provide superior charge cooling compared to 'factory' style upgrades. Unlike systems that are sandwiched between other heat-generating components, this FMIC kit occupies the entire lower bumper opening, sitting in front of the radiators to receive cool, unrestricted airflow, much like a racecar setup. The kit comes complete with the intercooler featuring rubber isolator mounting, billet mounting brackets, a billet hose adapter, silicone hoses, constant tension hose clamps, and all necessary mounting hardware. For those seeking ultimate airflow to the radiator, an optional Factory Intercooler Delete (FID) kit is available. The core dimensions measure 23.5"x 6.5"x 3". This intercooler is CARB Exempt with EO# D-236-21. Buyers can choose between a standard natural aluminum finish or an optional black heat-emitting coating. A "NEUSPEED" stencil is available at no extra charge with the purchase of the FMIC. This part is confirmed to fit the VW Golf/GTI Mk6 (2010-2014) GTI 2.0T and the VW Mk6 Golf R (2012-2013) 2.0T. Note that outside of North America, steel bumper structure trimming is required for installation. California residents should be aware of the state's Proposition 65 warning regarding potential cancer and reproductive harm.
