The CTS Turbo FMIC Kit is a front mount intercooler system designed for the VW MKIV 1.8T Golf, GTI, and Jetta models. This kit offers a significant cooling improvement over the factory setup, utilizing a high-density intercooler core and cast aluminum end tanks. Each pipe is bead-rolled to prevent leaks and blow-offs, and the kit includes black aluminum piping, 4-ply silicone couplers, and stainless steel T-bolt clamps.

The CTS Turbo FMIC Kit is an excellent upgrade for any stock or modified VW MKIV 1.8T (Golf/GTI/Jetta), providing substantial cooling benefits over the factory intercooler. This kit features a proprietary high-density bar/plate core and cast aluminum end tanks, designed to support up to 450 crank horsepower. The 2.5-inch mandrel-bent aluminum piping is powder-coated black and includes bead rolling to ensure your boost tubes remain securely attached without leaks. This kit comes complete with 4-ply silicone couplers and stainless steel T-bolt clamps for a robust and reliable connection. It is compatible with stock K03, K03s, K04, or ATP Eliminator turbochargers, as well as big turbo applications, though CTS exhaust manifold or custom work may be required for the latter. The intercooler core measures 25.25″x8″x3″, with an end-to-end size of 35.5″. The CTS MK4 FMIC Kit is specifically designed for the 1999.5 – 2005 VW Jetta 1.8T (including GLI manual transmission only) and the 1999.5 – 2005 VW Golf 1.8T (including GTI manual transmission only). Installation may require cutting to the bumper rebar and bumper to maintain a sleeper look with stock bumper grilles. The kit does not include the MAP sensor; ensure you retain the factory o-ring and install the supplied sealing o-ring over it for proper MAP sensor installation on later MK4 models.
