FMIC Kit

The ARM MK7 GTI FMIC Kit is a direct-fit front mount intercooler upgrade engineered to dramatically reduce intake air temperatures for the Volkswagen Mk7 GTI, Golf R, and GLI models. This upgrade provides up to 24whp and 26wtq by increasing cooling efficiency by 74%, making it a crucial modification for performance-oriented builds. The intercooler is positioned in the most efficient location – in front of the radiator stack – to utilize the coolest ambient air. The core of the ARM MK7 FMIC is a robust bar and plate design measuring 22 x 9 x 3.25 inches, with a total volume of 644 cubic inches, compared to the OEM intercooler's 493 cubic inches. Despite being only 28% larger in volume, it is rated for 700hp efficiency and features an ultra-dense fin pack with 20 fins per inch to maximize heat dissipation. This design is optimized to keep intake air temperatures (IATs) low, preventing the ECU from reducing timing and power output due to excessive heat. Installation is designed to be straightforward, with a 100% bolt-on process that takes approximately 2-3 hours, even for novice mechanics. It requires front bumper removal but does not necessitate disassembling the crash bar, radiator stack, or draining coolant. The kit includes MK7-specific mounting brackets, piping, silicone couplers, clamps, and OEM intercooler block-off caps. **Important Fitment Note:** This intercooler kit **does not fit vehicles with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) mounted in the lower bumper.** It is compatible with a wide range of VW Mk7, Mk7.5, and Mk7.75 models including the GTI, Golf R, and GLI, with 2.0T engines across various model years from 2015 to 2025+.
