The Detroit Speed FN988 Assembled Center Section is a specialized differential assembly engineered to provide enhanced performance and durability. This unit is designed to bolt directly into a traditional Ford 9-inch rear axle housing while incorporating a quieter and more efficient Ford 8.8-inch gearset. Constructed with a high-strength nodular case and forged alloy steel carrier bearing caps, this center section is built to withstand demanding conditions. It features safety-wired ARP hardware for secure installation and a 1350 forged steel pinion yoke. The assembly includes a 31-spline Truetrac differential and a 3.73 gear ratio, offering a balance of acceleration and drivability. This product is specifically designed as a complete, bolt-in center section assembly. It offers a significant upgrade over stock components, combining the strength of a Ford 9-inch housing with the advancements of 8.8-inch gear technology.
