The Ramair JSK-107 is a high-performance foam cold air intake kit specifically engineered for the 2004-2006 (BMW) Mini Cooper S R53 models with the 1.6 supercharged engine. Key features of this performance intake kit include a dual-layer foam filter for efficient air filtration and a black powder-coated heat shield to help isolate the intake from engine heat. The kit also includes black PVC cold air ducting and comes with a full fitting kit and easy step-by-step instructions for installation. The Ramair foam filter is designed for easy cleaning with their filter maintenance kit (CK-003). This performance intake kit is stated to improve performance and throttle response. The product is also California Proposition 65 compliant, with a warning regarding potential cancer and reproductive harm. It is designed as a direct replacement for the original airbox and element.
