Xona Rotor's XR line of performance turbochargers features a proprietary variable-preload ball bearing cartridge system, preventing ball sliding and scuffing at high shaft speeds. The bearing housing is fully-machined, high-strength stainless steel with an extended water jacket to combat heat soakback. Xona XR turbos use hybrid (ceramic balls and steel races) ABEC 7 angular contact ball bearings with M62 high-speed powder metal steel races, silicon nitride ceramic balls, and metallic ball cages for enhanced durability. Twin rings at both compressor and turbine ends reduce oil leakage and gas intrusion, extending seal life. Large-diameter oil slingers further reduce splash oil. The overbuilt compressor backplate and cover interface limit structural distortion. Oil inlet options are 7/16\" inverted flare or M12x1.25, with an integrated 'last ditch' oil filter. A modular oil drain flange allows for various bolt spacing.
