The Keith Black KB365-040 piston is a hypereutectic piston designed for high-performance applications including marine, drag race, circle track, street, and towing. Constructed from a low-expansion 390 alloy with 16 percent silicon, it allows for tighter piston-to-wall running clearance. This piston features fully machined head and valve reliefs, CNC-machined pin bores for accuracy, and an accumulator groove to aid the compression ring seal.

Additional features include triple spiral lock rings, machined-in oil returns, diamond-finished skirts, and mini grooves to reduce scuffing and overheating. The piston weight is advertised at 561 grams with a 143-gram wrist pin. It has an OE deck height of 8.206 inches, a standard bore size of 4.000 inches, and a centered pin location. Wrist pins and spiral locks are included, but piston rings are not included and require 1/16 x 1/16 x 3/16 sizes.
