The ATK ENGINES DF36 is a base engine designed for Small Block Chevy 350ci engine applications. This "semi-universal" fitment means it is compatible with a broad range of vehicles originally equipped with a 350ci Small Block Chevy engine, provided certain exclusions are observed. These exclusions include 1992-1997 LT1 style engines, Chevelles with steering behind the crossmember, some Corvettes, and 1962-1967 Chevy II's. Installation may require modifications for accessories, exhaust, and other components depending on the specific vehicle. The engine is shipped dry and requires the addition of 5 quarts of oil, with recommendations for Joe Gibbs Racing Oil BR40 or a 10w30 with a zinc additive for break-in. Premium fuel of 91+ Octane is required.
