Ford 351W Crate Engine

The ATK High Performance Engines HP09C is a complete Ford 351W crate engine designed for performance applications. It delivers an estimated 300 horsepower and 377 lb-ft of torque, utilizing a seasoned OE roller block from the 1987-1995 model years. This engine is built with a 351 cubic inch displacement and features a hydraulic roller camshaft with specifications of 220/224 degrees at 0.050 lift and .512/.512 lift with a 112 LSA. Key components include an OE one-piece rear main seal crankshaft with a 28oz balance, OE connecting rods, and hypereutectic pistons with a 9:1 compression ratio. The cylinder heads are OE #E7TE cast iron with 1.77-inch intake and 1.46-inch exhaust valves, paired with stamped steel 1.6 ratio rocker arms. This complete engine package also includes a Melling standard volume oil pump, an external balance 28oz balancer, a Pioneer external 28oz 164-tooth flexplate, a Weiand Stealth dual plane intake manifold, a Pro billet distributor with an upgraded melonite gear, a later model LH inlet water pump, a Quick Fuel 670 CFM vacuum secondary carburetor with electric choke, a mechanical fuel pump, Autolite #24 spark plugs, and 8mm spark plug wires. For optimal performance and longevity, ATK recommends using conventional non-synthetic 10W30 oil, and a Wix or K&N oil filter per application. The recommended timing is 34-36 degrees with the vacuum port plugged on the carburetor, and spark plug gap set at .035 inches.
