Description

The United Engine & Machine KB189.030 is a set of eight hypereutectic aluminum pistons designed for performance applications. These pistons feature a dish style with a D-shaped cup and have a 4.030 in. bore. They include a wrist pin and retainers, with a press-fit or floating wrist pin style.

The pistons are made from 390 aluminum alloy, heat-treated to T6 standards for increased strength. They boast 100 percent CNC-machined crowns, a high upper compression-ring location, gas-accumulator grooves, drilled oil returns, and spiral-lock retainer grooves. The lightweight, rigid-rib skirt design helps stabilize the piston in the bore, leading to improved oil control, reduced blow-by, and increased ring life.
