Description

This JE Pistons Piston Set (MPN 170877) is a performance-engineered component designed for the Ford 460 (BBF 520) engine, specifically for applications requiring a 4.390-inch bore and 4.300-inch crankshaft stroke. Each set includes 8 forged 2618 alloy pistons, engineered to withstand high stress and optimize durability and performance. They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design for reduced friction and weight. The pistons have a compression height of 1.350 inches and a crown volume of -3.00 cc flat top (2V), with ring lands sized at 1/16, 1/16, and 3/16 inches. The set includes wrist pins (part number 990-2930-18-51S) and retainer locks (part number 990-042-CS) for a floating wrist pin fitment. Each piston weighs 585 grams.
