The Reische Performance FORD-50 GEN-2 is a performance thermostat designed for high-performance Ford engines. It features a 170°F opening temperature and is made with the same components as OEM units, including a rubberized diaphragm. This direct-fit unit offers proper bypass control for maximum cooling system efficiency and is 100% made in the USA.

This thermostat provides superior heat dissipation and better overall performance compared to competitor's 160° thermostats. Reische suggests the 170°F opening as the optimal balance for high-performance engines, ensuring high flow to the radiator by mid-180°F while maintaining good all-season performance. With appropriate fan settings, coolant temperatures will typically range from the 170s in cool weather to the 180s in hot weather, offering added protection against detonation for engines running high timing or boost and maximizing horsepower.
