The Reische Performance FORD-50 GEN-2 is a performance thermostat designed for Ford vehicles. It features a 170°F opening temperature and a direct-fit design with proper bypass control for maximum cooling system efficiency. Made in the USA with OEM-quality components, including a rubberized diaphragm, this thermostat offers superior heat dissipation.

This thermostat provides better performance than many competitor 160° thermostats. Reische recommends a 170° opening temperature as the ideal balance for high-performance engines, allowing for high radiator flow by mid-180°F temperatures. This offers added protection against detonation and maximizes horsepower, especially for engines running high timing or boost. It comes with a 5-year warranty.

The Reische Performance FORD-50 GEN-2 is a high-performance thermostat engineered with the same exact components as your OEM unit, including a rubberized diaphragm. It is a direct-fit unit that ensures proper bypass control, guaranteeing maximum efficiency from your vehicle's cooling system. Constructed with 100% USA-made components, this thermostat represents the highest quality available for its application and is backed by a 5-year warranty. This thermostat is designed to provide superior heat dissipation, outperforming many competitor 160° thermostats. Reische has determined that a 170°F opening temperature offers the optimal balance for high-performance engines. It facilitates high flow to the radiator by mid-180°F temperatures, while still maintaining good all-season performance. When paired with appropriate fan settings, coolant temperatures can typically remain in the 170s during cool weather and the 180s in hot weather. This is particularly beneficial for engines running high levels of timing and/or boost, offering enhanced protection against engine-damaging detonation and maximizing horsepower. Reische offers a new 61mm O-ring by request after purchase, which can be mailed at no charge. However, it's important to note that 2017-up 3.5L EcoBoost trucks and other late-model applications require a special gasket that is fitted on the thermostat. For these specific applications, you will need to reinstall your OEM gasket or purchase a new Motorcraft RG640 seal. COMMON APPLICATIONS include a wide range of Ford vehicles such as the Mustang (3.7/5.0L, Shelby GT350/GT350R 5.2L), F-150 (2.7/3.0/3.3/3.5/3.7/5.0L), Expedition/Navigator (3.5L), Ranger (2.7/3.0L), Explorer/Aviator (3.3/3.0L), Bronco (2.7/3.0L), Edge/MKX/Nautilus (2.7L), MKZ (3.0L), Continental (2.7/3.0L), Fusion (2.7L), Bronco Sport (2.0L), and Maverick (2.0L).
