Ford 8.8" 3.08 Ratio Rear Axle Assembly

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1559B is a remanufactured axle assembly, precision-built for Ford 8.8" rear differentials. This unit features an 8.8-inch ring gear and a 3.08 gear ratio, paired with 11-inch brake drums. It is designed for 1990-1991 Ford Crown Victoria models, including both Sedan and Station Wagon variants, and is not equipped with Posi Traction. Each Zumbrota axle assembly undergoes rigorous inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. Internal components such as ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers are thoroughly inspected and tested. All bearings and seals are replaced as a standard part of the remanufacturing process. The gears are meticulously inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, measured in inch-pounds for precise setup and longevity. Gear backlash is set to ensure proper lubrication and quiet operation.
