The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2164E is a remanufactured axle assembly built to precise OEM specifications for Ford 8.8" differentials. This unit is designed for 2003-2005 Ford Town Car models featuring ABS and Posi-Traction, with a 3.55 gear ratio. Each axle assembly undergoes rigorous inspection of all components, including housing straightness, cracks, surface wear, and internal parts like ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The remanufacturing process includes straightening axle tubes to OEM specifications, ensuring correct rolling torque with inch-pound measurements for setup and longevity, and setting proper gear backlash for optimal lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota utilizes a state-of-the-art hydro-blasting and sandblasting procedure for cleaning, restoring housings to an OEM finish.
