Description

The Zumbrota Drivetrain mini spool (YP MINSF8.8-31) offers a cost-effective solution for achieving full-time lockup and enhanced traction. This component replaces the spider gears within a standard open differential carrier, ensuring that 100% of the engine's power is consistently delivered to both drive wheels. It is engineered to be compatible with Ford 8.8-inch rear differentials that utilize 31-spline axles. This mini spool is an ideal choice for performance applications where maximum traction is required. However, it is important to note that Yukon Gear and Axle does not recommend this unit for street-driven vehicles due to its always-locked nature. For vehicles equipped with larger tires or significantly high horsepower, full spools are generally recommended over mini spools. Installation of this mini spool requires a minor modification; a small amount of grinding on the factory C-clips is necessary for proper fitment. Compatibility is confirmed for Ford 8.8" axles with 31 splines.
