Description

The Zumbrota RAA435-2244A is a remanufactured axle assembly for the Ford 8.8-inch rear differential. It features a 3.31 gear ratio and is designed for models with ABS. This assembly is standard duty and does not include Posi Traction.

Each axle assembly is meticulously inspected for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. Internal components, including gears, clutches, and carriers, are thoroughly checked. All bearings and seals are replaced, and gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque to ensure precise setup and longevity. Proper gear backlash is set for lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota employs a specialized cleaning process, including hydro-blasting and sandblasting, followed by shot-peening for a superior finish.
