This bolt-in housing is constructed from robust .141" mild steel with a heavy-duty .282" thick face plate and internal gussets to provide exceptional strength and support for axle tubes. Its design includes integrated fill and drain plugs for convenient fluid changes and allows for ring gear inspection. The housing features 3" OD x .250" wall mild steel tubing and a vent to prevent internal pressure buildup, ensuring sealing integrity. For enhanced adjustability, the lower control arm mounts offer multiple hole locations, though this feature is not available on 1973-1977 applications.
