Description

The Metra AXFD-5V is a 12V to 5V step-down converter designed for use in Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles equipped with a factory amplifier. It fixes the audible "pop" sound that can occur when an aftermarket radio turns on the factory amplifier. This converter features a simple 3-wire hookup to drop the 12-volt turn-on signal to the 5-volt level required by the factory amplifier.
