Description

The Powermaster 9182 PowerMAX Starter is a high-torque starter designed for specific Ford engines. It offers 160 ft-lbs of torque and a 4.25:1 gear reduction ratio. This starter is suitable for engines with compression ratios up to 10:1. It features a gold iridited finish and is compatible with Ford 351M, 400, 429, and 460 Big Block engines, as well as certain Mustang models from 1965-1973. The starter is also noted to clear most headers and work with oversized kickout oil pans.
