Description

The Powermaster 9172 PowerMAX starter is a gear reduction starter designed for OE style applications. It features a 4.4:1 gear reduction ratio, 160 ft.-lbs. of cranking torque, and a 3/4 inch offset. This starter is rated for up to 10.5:1 compression and is compatible with 164-tooth flywheels on manual transmission vehicles.

This starter includes a steel gear insert for durability and compatibility with both EFI and carbureted engines. It is individually dyno tested to ensure performance and comes with a proof of performance guarantee.
