Ford Racing 5.2L Gen 3 Coyote Aluminum Engine Block

This is an upgraded version of previous Ford Performance 5.2L Coyote Aluminum Cylinder Blocks (M-6010-M52 and M-6010-M52A). It features higher flow oil squirters for added piston cooling and a clearance-machined rod bolt path in the crankcase. This improved high-performance casting of the Coyote block supports higher horsepower engine builds. It utilizes longer (187mm) 12 mm cylinder head bolts (requires M-6067-M501280 or M-6067-M52B head bolt changing kit) for greater clamping force. The block has improved crankcase windage, a 94.0 mm bore, and updated water jackets below the cylinder bore for increased strength. The intake side of the bore at the deck surface includes a cast-in brace to improve the strength of the cylinder wall and head gasket sealing. The block features plasma transferred wire arc spray weld liner coating, which provides improved durability and heat transfer, reduced friction, and weight savings compared to previous 5.0L Mustang GT aluminum blocks. This liner coating does not require unique piston rings or piston material. The cylinder bores are finish-honed and ready to assemble, and all block features are finish-machined, including the head deck and crank bore. It includes cross-bolted nodular iron main bearing caps and provisions for piston oil squirters. Plugs, dowels, and oil squirters are included.
