It produces gains of up to 10 horsepower and 15-20 lbs. x ft. of torque, significantly improving throttle response and engine sound. The system features a durable 16-gauge, powder-coated heat shield and a massive 4-inch conical Pro 5R performance air filter. The 5-layer progressively oiled, cotton gauze air filter provides maximum airflow, protection, and performance, with high 98% range filtration efficiency without sacrificing airflow. The filter is washable and reusable, constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life. The one-piece heat shield requires little to no assembly and utilizes factory mounting locations for a hassle-free installation. This intake system is 50-state legal for 1999-2003 models (CARB E.O Number D-550-3).
