Forge Intercooler for Suzuki Swift Sport 1.4 Turbo (ZC33S)

The Forge Motorsport intercooler is a high-performance upgrade engineered specifically for the Suzuki Swift Sport 1.4 Turbo (ZC33S). This intercooler utilizes a leading bar and plate core design with advanced curved end tanks, meticulously developed using Solidworks CAD and flow simulations to optimize airflow and maintain a pressure drop of less than 1 PSI. It significantly surpasses the efficiency of the stock intercooler, as evidenced by dyno testing where inlet air temperatures remained a safe 20°C compared to the OE cooler's 32°C after a single pull, even in a cold 14°C ambient environment. With an increased core volume of 7.2 liters and a frontal area of 1035cm², this intercooler boasts over 75% more volume and a 25% larger surface area than the original equipment. This enhanced cooling capacity is crucial for preventing the factory ECU from pulling timing due to high inlet air temperatures, especially on remapped vehicles, thereby maintaining optimal engine performance and preventing power loss. Testing showed gains of nearly 9BHP and approximately 10Nm of torque from the intercooler swap alone. The installation is designed to be straightforward, utilizing OEM mounting points and taking approximately 1.5 hours. Importantly, the Forge intercooler is compatible with Suzuki's active cruise control (ACC) and brake assist module without requiring any modifications. The core and end tanks are available with a black textured anti-corrosion coating for enhanced durability and aesthetics. Combined with a Forge stage one tune and high-flow cold air induction kit, this intercooler has contributed to impressive figures of 178bhp and 275lb-ft of torque.
