Overview

The SpeedFactory Racing connecting rods are designed for enhanced reliability in D16 engines when using Vitara pistons. Constructed from forged 4340 Chromoly steel, these rods are heat-treated, magnafluxed, CNC machined, and shot-peened. They feature precision alignment dowels for rod cap location and bronze alloy pin bushings for floating wrist pins.

The SpeedFactory Vitara Spec No-Notch Long Connecting Rods are engineered for improved reliability, particularly in D16 engines utilizing Vitara pistons. These rods boast a robust construction from forged SAE 4340 Chromoly steel, ensuring exceptional strength and quality for demanding applications. Each rod undergoes a rigorous manufacturing process, including heat treatment, magnafluxing, 100% CNC machining, and shot peening to relieve stress and enhance durability. Designed with precision, these connecting rods feature alignment dowels to positively locate the rod cap and maintain critical big end bore size, preventing cap walk. They are equipped with bronze alloy pin bushings suitable for floating wrist pins and are rated to 500hp. The rods are balanced to within +/- 1 gram per set and are profiled to clear most factory girdles, eliminating the need for block notching. Included with the rods are 3/8” ARP2000 rod bolts, rated to 220,000 psi, along with installation instructions and ARP Lube. The package contains 4 connecting rods and is backed by SpeedFactory's Limited Manufacturer's Warranty. Applications include: 1986-1989 Acura Integra, 1988-1995 Honda Civic Si, 1988-1991 Honda CRX Si, 1990-1991 Honda Civic EX, 1995-2000 Honda Civic, 1999-2006 Honda HR-V, and 1993-1995 Honda Del Sol Si.
