The Eagle Specialty Products 435640006000 is a forged 4340 steel crankshaft engineered for high-performance engine builds. This crankshaft offers a 4.000-inch stroke and features internal engine balance, making it suitable for demanding applications. Constructed from high-strength 4340 steel, it undergoes a multi-stage heat-treatment process, is stress-relieved, and shot-peened for enhanced durability and reliability. For improved oiling, it features chamfered oil holes, and its rod and main journals have a .125-inch radius for increased strength. The journals are precision-ground and micro-polished to a finish of less than 5 R.A. A target bob weight of +/- 2 percent helps reduce balancing time during assembly. Key specifications include a standard snout style, 2.100-inch rod journal diameter, and 2.750-inch main journal diameter. It requires narrow bearings, and rod and main bearings are not included. This crankshaft is designed for Ford 351C and modified engines and features a 351W snout. Note that when used in a Cleveland engine, it requires a 0.375-inch spacer behind the timing gear or a special timing chain set.
