The Eagle Specialty Products connecting rod is a forged 4340 steel H-Beam rod designed for Big Block Chevy applications. It features a length of 6.535 inches, is bushed, and uses ARP 8740 capscrew rod bolts with a 7/16 inch size.

This rod is forged from AISI/ASME certified 4340 steel with a multi-stage heat treatment for superior strength. It is designed with a two-piece forging to maximize cap strength and bore stability for high-power applications. The H-Beam design includes a double-pass machined cavity for minimal weight and maximum rigidity, and pin oiling holes in the rod channel provide a continuous oil supply.

The Eagle Specialty Products BBC 4340 Forged H-Beam Rod is a high-strength connecting rod engineered for demanding performance applications, specifically for Big Block Chevy engines. Constructed from forged AISI/ASME certified 4340 steel, this rod undergoes a multi-stage heat treatment process to ensure superior durability and reliability under stress. The H-Beam design is a time-proven performance choice, featuring a double-pass machined cavity that reduces weight while maintaining maximum rigidity. The two-piece forging construction enhances cap strength and bore stability, making it suitable for high-power applications. This rod also incorporates pin oiling holes in the rod channel for a continuous oil supply, contributing to longevity. This connecting rod measures 6.535 inches in length and is bushed for precision. It utilizes ARP 8740 capscrew rod bolts, sized at 7/16 inch, known for their proven reliability. ARP Ultra-Torque Assembly lube is included for consistent bolt preload during installation. The manufacturing process includes sonic testing, magna-fluxing, and x-ray inspection to guarantee a reliable product. Installation requires torquing to 63 ft-lbs using ARP moly lube ONLY.
