The Eagle Specialty Products 434736226100 is a robust crankshaft engineered for demanding performance applications within GM Gen III LS engines. Constructed from forged 4340 steel, this crankshaft boasts a 3.622-inch stroke and internal balancing for smoother operation. Its non-twist forging, .125-inch fillet radiuses on rod and main journals, and nitrided surface with micro-polished finish contribute to superior strength and longevity. The inclusion of a 58-tooth reluctor wheel is specifically designed for modern engine management systems. This crankshaft undergoes rigorous quality control, including multi-stage heat treating, X-ray, magnafluxing, and sonic testing to ensure a reliable product. It is precision-ground and micro-polished to less than 5 R.A. for optimal bearing performance. A target bob weight of +/- 2 percent is maintained, significantly reducing balancing time during engine assembly. Note that this crankshaft requires chamfered or narrowed bearings due to its .125-inch fillet radiuses.
