The Eagle Specialty Products 440038756000 is a high-strength, forged 4340 steel crankshaft engineered for demanding racing applications. This crankshaft features a 3.875" stroke, internal balance, and a target bobweight of 1900g, making it suitable for Chevrolet 400 engines. The material is forged 4340 steel, known for its durability and resistance to twisting. Key specifications include a 2.1" rod journal, 1.900" rod journal width, 2.649" main journals, and a minimum rod length of 6.000". It also has a 2.431" rear seal diameter and a 1.245" snout diameter, with 6 flywheel bolts. The crankshaft is nitrided and micropolished to less than 2 RA for a superior surface finish. This crankshaft requires balancing to match specific rods and pistons. Please note that all Eagle Specialty Products items are not for use in pollution-controlled vehicles. Eagle uses certified steel and employs multi-stage heat treating, sonic testing, magna-fluxing, and X-ray inspection to ensure product reliability.
