The kit features lightweight, forged one-piece calipers crafted from aerospace-quality aluminum. This construction eliminates weak spots common in cast or welded calipers, preventing fracturing, warpage, and failure. The aluminum pistons are protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, ensuring smooth operation and preventing corrosion. An opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear, complemented by high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. Procomp Big Brake systems utilize a two-piece rotor design for lightweight, fade-free performance and effective grip. The lightweight center sections, made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reduce rotational mass for quicker wheel response. The two-piece construction allows the outer rotor section to expand and contract independently, greatly reducing the chance of warping due to heat buildup, while the aluminum center acts as an effective heat sink. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are advised for more track-focused use to improve bite and dissipate heat, dust, and gases. Included in the standard kit are replacement calipers, 356x32mm rotors, brake pads (SC5 Street Pads standard, with an upgrade option to RCI Race Pads), stainless-steel braided brake lines (D.O.T. compliant, preventing expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer feel), and related hardware. CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets ensure proper fitment to OEM locations.
