Constructed from a single piece of solid, forged steel, it is designed to withstand the stresses of demanding towing applications and is rated for up to 17,000 lbs. gross trailer weight and 2,550 lbs. tongue weight. This ball mount is designed to fit trailer hitches with a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening and features a 1-1/4" ball hole to accept a trailer ball shank. It offers adjustable height options with a 5" rise or a 6" drop, allowing for precise trailer leveling and a secure connection. To ensure longevity and protection against the elements, the Curt Forged ball mount is coated in a tough carbide black powder coat finish, providing excellent resistance to rust, scratches, and UV damage. This makes it an ideal choice for hauling various heavy loads, including livestock trailers, construction materials, RVs, and large boat trailers. The manufacturer recommends never exceeding the lowest weight capacity of any towing component in the system, including the vehicle, hitch, and trailer.
