The Tomei Forged Billet Full Counterweight Crankshaft is engineered for high-performance 4G63 engines, offering a 100.00mm stroke for increased displacement. This crankshaft is crucial for converting piston reciprocating motion into rotary motion at high speeds, demanding exceptional torsional, bending rigidity, and wear resistance. Tomei addresses these needs by incorporating a full (8) counterweight design. This design strategically places weights on the arms around the crankpin to significantly improve the balance ratio. By counteracting the inertia from the piston's up-and-down movement and the crankpin's rotational forces, it effectively reduces engine vibration and minimizes bending stress on the crankshaft. This not only leads to a smoother running engine but also prevents uneven wear on the bearings, extending their lifespan. Constructed from robust 4340 forged billet material and treated with nitriding for superior hardness and wear resistance, this crankshaft is built to withstand the rigors of demanding applications, from street tuning to professional racing. Key specifications include a 45.0mm crank pin, 57.0mm main journal, and a total weight of 29.1 pounds. It is specifically designed for 1992-2006 Mitsubishi Evo I-IX models with the 4G63 engine.
