Overview

The Tomei Forged Billet Crankshaft is a high-performance component designed for the VR38DETT R35 GTR. It features a 94.40mm stroke, which is an OEM +6.0mm increase, and a 56mm crank pin with a 65mm main journal. This crankshaft is constructed from EN40B material and has undergone NITRIDING Treatment for enhanced durability and wear resistance.

This 5-counterweight design utilizes weights on both sides of the crankpin to improve the balance ratio, reducing vibration and minimizing bending for more consistent bearing contact. The edge-shaped counterweights reduce resistance and oil splash in the oil pan. Additionally, the X design 2-port lubrication system increases oil supply to the crank journals for better seizure resistance, and the crank pulley mount features WPC processing to prevent seizing.

The Tomei Forged Billet Crankshaft is engineered to convert the reciprocating motion of pistons into rotary motion for the R35 GT-R's VR38DETT engine. Recognizing the high speeds involved, this crankshaft prioritizes exceptional torsional and bending rigidity, along with superior wear resistance. Constructed from high-grade EN40B material, this crankshaft features a significant 94.40mm stroke (OEM +6.0mm), a 56mm crank pin, and a 65mm main journal. The surface is treated with NITRIDING Treatment, further enhancing its durability and resistance to wear under demanding conditions. The unit boasts a high balance ratio achieved through its 5-counterweight design, which strategically places weights to counteract the inertia of the pistons and crankpin rotation, thereby minimizing vibration and preventing uneven bearing wear. Further enhancing its performance and longevity, the crankshaft incorporates an 'edge shaped' counterweight design to reduce oil drag and splash within the oil pan. The 'X design 2 port lubrication' system boosts oil delivery to the crank journals, significantly improving resistance to bearing seizure. Additionally, WPC processing is applied to the crank pulley mount to prevent seizing issues. This crankshaft is designed for 2009+ Nissan R35 GT-R models equipped with the VR38DETT engine.
